Police found a bullet hole in the fourth-floor window at the bank's wealth management and private banking office building on Harristown Road around 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20.
"The employee assigned to that office was not at work, and no one used the office during the day," Glen Rock Police Chief Dean Ackermann said.
"There were no injuries, and it has not yet been determined what time the incident occurred," the chief said.
The Bergen County Sheriff's Bureau of Criminal Identification collected evidence, including bullet fragments, Ackermann said.
Route 208 was temporarily shut down in both directions while officers attempted to search for shell casings or other evidence, assisted by Fair Lawn and Hawthorne Police and sheriff's officers.
Glen Rock firefighters brought a ladder truck to assist in the investigation.
Route 208 was reopened a short time later.
